By accessing or using Halftime Tools ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. The Service

Halftime Tools provides browser-based financial planning tools designed to help South Africans think through decisions in the second half of their working lives. The tools are informational in nature and do not constitute financial advice.

2. Not financial advice

The calculations and outputs produced by Halftime Tools are for educational and planning purposes only. They are based entirely on the assumptions and inputs you provide. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. You should consult a qualified financial adviser before making any financial decision.

3. Once-off payment and access

Access to paid tiers (Essentials and Premium Suite) is granted upon receipt of a once-off payment in ZAR via PayFast.
There are no subscriptions. Access does not expire.
Payments are processed by PayFast and are subject to their terms. Halftime Tools does not store your payment details.
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of purchase if you are not satisfied.

4. Permitted use

The tools are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.
You may not copy, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell any part of the Service.
You may not share your account credentials with others.

5. Intellectual property

All content, tools, designs, and code on this platform are the property of IP Capital (Pty) Ltd. The tools are obfuscated to protect intellectual property. Unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to update, improve, or modify the tools at any time. Once-off purchasers will receive updated versions at no additional cost within their purchased tier.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, IP Capital (Pty) Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the outputs of Halftime Tools. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
